In today’s post we want to share with you a recipe we make a variation each Winter, to keep our colds at bay. Feel a cold coming on, take a shot/capsule, and off it goes. Even Bear says, yummy, after he has his… strange boy 😉 

Krystie’s Natural Antibiotic 

This formula dates back to medieval Europe, from a time where people suffered all sorts of diseases and epidemics 

It has powerful antiviral and anti-fungal properties, helps increase blood circulation and can get lymph flowing

The magic of this powerful tonic is in the combination of high-quality natural and fresh ingredients! 

Master tonic – Recipe 

You may want to consider wearing gloves during the making of this tonic as many an accident has happened with chillies 

Ingredients:

  • 700 ml apple cider vinegar (always use organic with the ‘mother’)
  • ¼ cup finely chopped garlic
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 fresh peppers, the hottest you can find (be careful with the cleaning – wear gloves!!!)
  • ½  cup of ginger
  • 2 tbsp turmeric powder or 2 pieces of turmeric root
  • Some people add horseradish but I couldn’t get hold of any. 

Preparation:

  • Combine all the ingredients into a good blender and give it a whirl for 2 mins 
  • Transfer the mixture to a Mason jar (make sure the lid isn’t metal)

  • Keep the jar in a cool and dry place for 2 weeks. Shake well twice a day.
  • It is said that for best results shake 88 times 
  • After 14 days place the mixture into two large bowls and put into a dehydrator. 140 degrees for 2 hours and then 110 degrees for 20 hours.
  • After 20 hours the mixture should be dry. Place parchment paper onto the dehydrator screens and scoop the medicine onto it. Put it back into the dehydrator at 110 degrees for a further 2-6 hours or until dry. 

  • Take the chunks and put them into a coffee grinder and grind into a fine powder. 
  • Place into encapsulation kit

Dosing:

Caution: The capsule is very strong and hot!

Extra Tip: Eat a slice of orange, lemon or lime after you take the capsule to ease the burning sensation and heat.

Take 1 capsule everyday to strengthen the immune system and fight cold.

You can also opt out of drying this and putting in a capsule. A tablespoon a day of liquid will also do the trick.
