Chances are that you’re not looking to be New Zealand’s next top bodybuilder or powerlifter, so why would you follow a cookie cutter bodybuilding or powerlifting program?

Every now and again I take myself off to a commercial gym just to see what people are up to with their training. It seems that everyone has been sucked in by the social media masses that tell you the only way to train is by annihilating one muscle group every workout.

Monday – chest

Tuesday – quads

Wednesday – shoulders

Thursday – arms

Friday – hamstrings

Saturday – calves and abs

Sunday – rest

Here is the thing…

If you want to be athletic, strong and bendy then there is a better way. A way in which not only can you become strong and supple but you will also be functional. Yes, it’s far more rewarding and empowering when you can actually use your gains in your everyday life.

Results Fitness Camp consists of all the classic strength training such as squats, deadlifts, presses but also includes lots of..

Core strength – we’re not doing a bunch of situps and crunches thrown in at the end of a workout. Our core training is designed to make sure you protect your spine and are able to generate the strength into your limbs via a rock solid pillar

Multiplanar and single leg work – machines like the leg press, leg extension/curl etc all work on one plane of motion – but life doesn’t work like that. That’s why we incorporate lots of single leg and multi-directional work to improve athleticism and function

Injury prevention – there are also certain areas of the body that always seem to get banged up. The shoulders, knees and lower back being the big culprits

There are also many areas of the body that can often get left behind, neglected and forgotten. Areas such as the rotator cuff, the intrinsic muscle of the foot and the glutes

We make sure we take all of these “forgotten’’ muscles, joints and ranges of motion into account so that we can be resilient, bulletproof and antifragile

Power, balance and agility – Even if you’re not training for a sport it is a good idea that you train for power. Power declines at twice the rate of strength and you never know when you might need those power fibres in your body. Sprinting down the road after your kids or catching yourself as you almost lose balance while hiking a mountain.

Our goal at Results FitnessCamp is to turn you into an everyday athlete. So, if you want to be athletic, strong and bendy then we are here for you.
