Meet D : Scrawny to Brawny

When D came to me he wasn’t in ‘’bad’’ shape. He for lack of a better word was a little soft. With a busy full time business and a household full of kids, things had begun to slide a little. It wasn’t too severe but D knew that if he didn’t do something about it now, then it would only get worse. 

 

After 12 weeks on the Scrawny to Brawny program D had gone from a soft 22% body fat to a shredded 14% body fat all while gaining significant amounts of lean muscle mass. Not only did D get shredded but he also got CRAZY strong

 

He can easily Bench over 100kg, perform 17 chin ups in a row with great form, can nail a 40kg Turkish-Get Up which is no mean feat and has the grip strength of a Silverback Gorilla

Here is what we did with D… 

 

  • Increased protein to 200 grams per day 
  • Lifted heavy ass weights 3x per week 
  • Controlled calories 
  • Ate the ‘’right’’ amount of ‘’good’’ fats to keep his T-levels flying 
  • Walked 10k steps per day 
  • Daily ice baths 
  • Sauna at least 3x per week

Honestly we didn’t do anything groundbreaking, nothing special or nothing new. 

What we did have was….

  2. Discipline 
  3. Consistency 
  4. Flexibility 
  5. Trust in the plan 

Personally I think one of D’s greatest wins is that he now embraces the fitness and health lifestyle. He loves training, does daily ice baths, has regular saunas, is dialled in on breathing and meditation and is often found reading about the latest fitness protocols. Health and fitness is now part of his identity
