I love getting up for an early morning sunrise walk on the beach. Last summer I pulled Krystie and Milly out of bed on a few occasions to join me for an early hours beach walk. There is something special about that time of the morning, time seems to slow down and a deep sense of peace fills the air. I truly believe that creating a habit of getting up early has the power to transform your life.

Many a Results Fitness Camper gets up early to get their morning workout in and they will tell you that it feels pretty good to know you have nailed your workout before anyone else is even up out of bed. It’s all about ‘’mind over mattress’’ – Take action and get up out of bed!

In fact, that’s what I am going to talk to you about today… no not getting up early but taking action. Hopefully after last week’s newsletter you have started to think about some of the strategies and behaviors you need to adopt to make this year YOUR year.

As David Starr Jordon observed ‘’Wisdom is knowing what to do next, skill is knowing how to do it and virtue is doing it’’

Most of us know what we need to do to get fitter and healthier. The problem is that we don’t do what we know.

The mark of a strong character and someone that will make a successful health and fitnesstransformation lies not in doing what is fun and easy but in consistently doing the things that are hard but necessary. Rather than coming home after a hard day at work and sitting on the sofa watching TV for 3 hours, She has the courage and discipline to get herself to the gym for that workout she knows will be tough but will make her stronger both mentally and physically.

All too often, we spend our days waiting for the perfect moment, for the ideal path to appear in front of us. But we forget paths are made not by waiting but by taking action and walking.

Even the smallest of actions is bigger than the boldest of intentions.

So if you have been paved with good intentions about getting fit, healthy and losing weight then NOW is the time to TAKE ACTION. Stop talking about it and start doing it.

At this point, you have two choices.

Choice One: You can continue to make excuses to yourself.

I am not fit enough to join Results Fitness Camp >>> There is no fit enough. We have people of all shapes, ages and sizes. All workouts are scaled. And we reward effort over performance.

I don’t have enough time >>> Nope, you have the same 24 hours that we all have. You just haven’t made your health a priority. We often take our health for granted, that is until the straw that broke the camel’s back!

I don’t have the money >>> Again it’s all a matter of priorities.

Coffee everyday $4  = $120 per month

Bottle of wine a week $15-30 = $60 per month

Boozy night out $50x 2 = $100 per month

Cosmetics $50-100 per month (most of these cosmetics are to cover up because we are not healthy)

Clothes $50-100 per month

As I said it’s a matter of priorities.

Choice Two: You could take the other choice. That’s the one where you don’t make any excuses, you register for Results Fitness Camp today and you lose the fat, tone your muscles and finally get the body you want.
