As I was sitting down getting ready to watch the Queen’s Gambit (have any of you guys watched it yet?), I was wondering what to write for Wednesday’s newsletter. I asked Paul for some inspiration and he opened his note document (Paul’s forever writing notes on thought lessons) and here are five that he shared with me:

  • You don’t get what you want or desire, you get what you commit to

  • You can’t truely commit to an outcome but you CAN commit to the process that would cause the outcome to be more likely to be realised

  • If you are seeking SUCCESS without having defined, refined and aligned with a clear and skilful PROCESS then regardless of the resources, skill and time you invest you are likely to fail

  • Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. If things feel like they are moving too slowly, don’t apply more effort in the hope of increasing speed. Instead, look to where the process needs smoothing out. It is far more effective to take the pebble out of your shoe than it is to design a faster show.

  • Water is the most essential element of life, because without water, you can not make coffee 😉

Have a great Wednesday!
