Happy Sunday Everyone.

Hope you are all keeping healthy and well.

Today, we have a couple of bits we would like to speak about and the upcoming changes within Results, so please take the time to read this email.

Covid 19 has become a reality for everyone. We are seeing our daily routines and normal lives shift right before our eyes. Our hearts go out to anyone that has been affected by this event and we cannot thank medical workers, first responders and all on the front line enough.

Throughout these challenging times it is nice to see communities band together, to see neighbours helping each other and people supporting their local small businesses.

We believe and hope that what we can shine in the time of darkness and hold on to the parts of our daily routines that we can control. We can keep laughing, smiling and being kind.

What this all means to us

At Results our number one priority is your health and wellbeing. We know that for some in these dark times it can be easy to lose hope. We recognise how important training is for mental wellbeing and resilience. Many of you have expressed how hard you have worked for your fitness and you don’t want to lose it. We don’t want you to lose it either.

After much thought, we have decided to close our doors to the studio for the time being from next Monday (30th March). This was a very hard decision however the more people we speak to, the more we know this is a good move for the short term.

We are currently looking at online ways for you to get your workouts in, as we do not want you to stop moving. Our goal is to find an online portal we can upload 3x videos per week. We were thinking 25 minute workouts, with either bodyweight and/or suspension training. We would like to include KB’s however unsure how many people have them at home to use. If you are happy to purchase this, then let us know and we can incorporate these into the workouts.

Many of you come to the gym as a form of being accountable. We suggest that you stick with your training times at home. We will be implementing an accountability system to make sure you are doing your workouts.

Our new online membership options

There will be new membership options for those that would like to continue online. We are still deciding these prices, however will let you know over the next couple of days. All DD will be adjusted once price is confirmed. If you do not wish to continue online, please send us an email and we will put your membership on hold.

If you are a small business owner or someone that has been financially affected by Covid-19 then we want to help. Instead of putting your membership on the back burner we simply ask that you pay what you can, a voluntary donation. Please contact us to discuss. As we mentioned before, your health and wellbeing is our primary and we want you continuing your training in a super supportive, always happy to help community.

Hygiene and cleaning – current at the gym

Following the ministry of health guidelines we are implementing enhanced cleaning and sanitisation procedures for this week. We are doing the very best we can and will be making time for cleaning between every class and every client as well as both the beginning and end of the day. We kindly ask all our clients to use the hand sanitisers before and after training sessions and clean all equipment used before and after.

If you feel unwell…

If you are unwell with fever, cough, difficulty breathing or if you have been in close contact with someone suffering from coronavirus, please do not come to training this week.

We aim to post a workout on our facebook page instead (in the process of uploading at the moment and taking a lifetime!! So hopefully it will be done for tomorrow) 🙂

Some of our clients are senior or have compromised immune systems so it is vital we minimise the risk to them and to our staff.

If you do become ill or have been in contact with someone who has, make sure that you seek medical help. The Coronavirus helpline number is 0800 358 5453.

 To conclude

With so much unknown, it is very hard to know what direction to go and how, but what we do know is, we can continue to love and support one another

Yes we have decided to closed the gym (no sessions from Monday 30th), and we are seeing many fellow business owners, service industry and health care friends struggle as they adjust around the current situation. People are suffering and everyone all over the world is feeling it.

BUT WE DO SEE…

  • People finding ways to continue moving their bodies

  • Communities stepping up to support small businesses

  • Friends checking up on each other

  • People helping neighbours or those in need

  • More people are connecting on different and deeper levels

  • Members of our gym are stepping up in ways to support one another

People are being resourceful, leaping forward and seeing possibilities to do the best they can with what they have.

This puts a smile on our faces and gives us a sense of peace in the chaos.

‘You do not need to know precisely what is happening, or exactly where it is all going. What you need is to recognise the possibilities and challenges offered by the present moment, and to embrace them with courage, faith and hope.”

– Thomas Merton

So, we will see you tomorrow for training as usual, and an email will be sent over the next couple of days confirming our online plan and pricing. Any questions or ideas please do not hesitate to contact us and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your support. Together we can get through this. Don’t be the warning, be the example.
