Happy Monday All!

Hope you all had a great weekend and all the Dad’s out there, had a great Sunday. The weather sure was lovely – we headed out for a morning walk to the local beach to see the baby seal, then on for a bike ride, followed by a family lunch.

“Day by day, what you do, is who you become” – what habits have you been including in your every day rhythm that makes you a better, stronger, healthier YOU? There is no better time than now, in lockdown, when you have a little more time on your side, life seems to slow itself down a bit in most people’s cases, and you have a chance to introduce new habits/routines.

Some examples could include:

  1. Taking time (even if it’s 10 minutes a day) to deep breath/meditate
  2. Family movement session – before/after breakfast or before dinner, everyone hits the streets for a family walk (help with digestion, family bonding time, fresh air….
  3. Taking turns to cook a nourishing meal and then sharing this at the table together
  4. Starting a vegetable garden / planting fruit trees
  5. Cooking a bunch of nourishing meals you can load up your freezer so when you get home after work and cooking is not that appealing, there is a meal ready for you
  6. Getting out on the bike, walking around the block, – some kind of movement each day for at least 20 minutes
  7. Taking your shoes off and going bare feet on the grass
  8. Sitting in nature in silence
  9. Doing a family puzzle together (or by yourself)
  10. Starting a new hobby or one you have wanted to do for while and never gotten around to – sewing, learning guitar, pottery…

So there you have it. These are just a handful of examples however would love to hear if you have anything else you can add to the list. What are you doing today that is making a better you tomorrow?
