Happy Monday Everyone,

Hope you all managed to get out into the sunshine for a walk, fresh air and vitamin D.

School holidays are now on, and what better way for the kids to spend them than being outside, climbing trees, kicking around a ball, mowing lawns, building sandcastles, forts, and so on.

This leads us on to today’s post.

4 Wheels, Some Metal and Some Plastic

Last week I had to take my car into the garage to get some repairs done. There were some essentials that needed doing and it cost me about $1000. It needed to be done, but it did get me thinking…

Most people spend thousands on their cars. I see people rolling around in cars that are 40, 60, 80, 140 thousand dollars. These people don’t think twice about the upkeep to their cars. New tyres, brake pads, new set of 22 inch rims, upgraded sports pack and the list goes on.

These people are happy to spend thousands on their cars but when it comes to the investment needed on their own body, their own health they often question it’s worth.

(don’t be this guy)

It makes me wonder why we all too often under-value our health. Our bodies are the place where we live.

Yes it’s a total cliche, but it’s true – Our health is our greatest wealth

Without your health, you’ve got nothing. I know millionaires that would happily trade it all in to get their health back.

So, I put this to you…

How about spending some time investing in your own health, spending some more money on yourself than you do on your car

The car is just 4 wheels, some metal and some plastic. Yes we need the car, it’s essential to get around from A to B. You on the other hand are so much more than the car.

How about we stop neglecting the most important thing we have on this planet, Our own health

I’m not saying don’t go out and spend $$$$$$$ on your car. If you have the money then great, have a great car, look after it. BUT also take the time to look after the number one asset, your number one priority YOU and YOUR HEALTH, and this goes for your kids too. Teach and encourage good habits for their health, move, eat, sleep and be healthy.
